Arizona Couples Trip Review

The Phoenician Hotel was incredible! Their COVID precautions were fine and did not detract from the experience. The room had a fantastic view. The resort has all of the amenities one would want. We used the pool area each day. Also, we picked seats from which we could look at Camelback Mountain – I enjoyed that. On the second day, we did hike Camelback Mountain, which, although short, was also one of the most strenuous hikes we’ve done. The general location of the hotel was perfect. Scottsdale and Paradise Valley were very nice areas and had great restaurants. I should note that we ate dinner at a very nice restaurant called Lon’s at the Hermosa, which was incredible.
The Enchantment was one of the coolest resorts at which we’ve stayed. This resort made our Arizona honeymoon vacation incredible. I am very glad we chose it. It was about 10 minutes outside of Sedona in it’s own canyon and thus removed from the crowded downtown (We liked the town, but it was nice to stay away from the hustle and bustle). The casita was spacious and had an incredible view of the canyon. The level of service and COVID precautions were the best I’ve experienced. We ate at their restaurant twice, which has an incredible view as well as great food. There were a number of other restaurants that were incredible as well (Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill, The Hideaway, La Cucina Rustica).
We definitely had no issues in Sedona relative to COVID. We were hiking, rentings an ATV, at the pool, and otherwise outdoors each day, and the hotel took adequate precautions. Phoenix was interesting. The media portrays it as some kind of death zone (obviously being facetious), and our activities were more focused on eating and going to various breweries. However, without one exception, each place we patronized was completely safe and all other patrons wore masks, so we felt completely safe. You would never have known Phoenix was a hotspot.
All in all, it was a great opportunity to see a part of the country neither of us had seen and you helped us make the experience perfectly reflect our preferences. We cannot thank you enough! We are very sad we could not do Cabo, as the level of expense and exotic nature of that planned trip was an indulgence we have never allowed ourselves, and we wanted to do it before having kids because we don’t know when we’ll have the money or opportunity to do a trip like that again. However, we definitely have no regrets about the changes we made, and again, we are thankful for your help!
