El Dorado Seaside Wedding Review:

To the VIP Vacations Team,

Ryan and I would like to thank You for putting together an amazing destination wedding at El Dorado Seaside Suites! Additionally, our guests raved about the resort, food, service, and of course the wedding itself. Everyone kept asking me, “Tara, where did you find this place?!” I said, “through our travel agent, VIP Vacations!”

We received amazing service from our El Dorado Seaside Suites Wedding Coordinator, Marcela Hernandez! She was absolutely fabulous.  Also, because of her, I never became stressed or nervous.  The wedding planner took care of anything big or small in a matter of seconds. We are so lucky to have had her as our wedding coordinator.

The Details:

Prior to arriving, Valeria from Lomas Travel was awesome because I was able to plan everything prior to arriving. She kept in touch with me weekly up until the wedding and sent El Dorado and Lomas my detailed wedding plan. This made our meeting go quickly and smoothly.

We requested Denise from Carib Photo (per Marcela’s recommendation) and you can check out her work on my Facebook page (Tara Lafferty). We received a huge photo album with pages filled of pictures, more 5×7 pictures, post card pictures, and a CD full of 250+ pictures!

I would have not changed anything with the wedding day or the resort itself. We were delighted when we checked our mail and had several items from VIP! The wedding card, post card, and lovely picture frame! Thank you very much for the gift and your thoughtfulness.

1 — Would you recommend a destination wedding? Absolutely! I have been constantly raving that we had the BEST wedding ever and did it on a small budget!!! With my job(pharmaceutical rep), I talk to ALOT of people (mostly women who are nurses) at doctor offices and they are amazed when I tell them about the free wedding package and the fact thay they will marry for you for free. I actually had another drug rep come up to me and ask me if I was the rep getting married in Mexico because an office manager was telling her about my wedding coming up and the fact that it was nearly free.

2 – Would you recommend the El Dorado Seaside for a wedding? Of course! As long as they have Valeria as their offsite Lomas Travel agent. I would say that I would have held off on ordering a few decoration items through Valeria…because once you have your sit down appt with Lomas Travel, they will negotiate prices (for flowers/sheers). They even threw in our sand ceremony for free.

And finally, 3—would you be inclined to recommend VIP for weddings/ travel in general? (if you have anything you think we could have done a better job of, please share that too as we want to always improve and be the best we can be).

Yes! I actually just told a friend about you who is trying to plan her honeymoon (possibly to Mexico). When I tell people about your company, I preface that Jennifer specializes in Destination Weddings and that I remember you saying you had 12-15 weddings booked last May. I also mention how knowledgeable you are about ALL of the different resorts (not just one chain like Sandals or Secrets) and the best places to go based upon the customer’s needs. As for general travel, I would recommend VIP to others because of the excellent customer service. Very prompt and detailed. Ryan and I have been using the same travel agent (Liberty Travel) for the past 5 years mainly because of her detailed knowledge regarding the resorts (ie. make sure you go to this place for their pizza when you’re at the resort, try this excursion out through this tour group). However, if you pair up your experience and the effort you guys make to create a positive customer travel experience, I would say it’s safe to say that we will book our annual vacations through VIP.
