Alexx and I are back to the work grind after an amazing vacation in St Lucia and extending our trip a few extra days afterwards in Miami/Ft Lauderdale. It felt great to be able to travel again, and we’re looking forward to planning another trip in 2021.

We had the best time at Coconut Bay and would definitely recommend it to others. The resort was pretty empty, but with 30 adults in our group it felt like we had a private resort all to ourselves! Everyone agreed that we were lucky to enjoy the resort when it wasn’t as crowded as it would have been under normal circumstances. Less people = no wait at the bars! The resort was so big that we were able to spread out and safely distance ourselves from other groups without worrying about having a mask on 24/7. The resort took all of the proper safety precautions (masks, sanitizer stations, temperature checks at restaurants, etc.) which helped us feel comfortable and safe. The food was delicious, and my only complaint would be that we didn’t get a chance to try a couple restaurants because they were closed on the nights we were free- we’ll just have to try them the next time we visit! The service was outstanding; the staff really went above and beyond in all areas and made it known that they were very appreciative that our group was there. Alexx and I were supposed to have a romantic dinner for 2 on our last night, but there was a miscommunication that led to them preparing a private 4-course lunch for us in the wedding gazebo before we had to catch the shuttle to the airport. The food was to die for and made leaving paradise so much harder!

Our wedding and events went off without a hitch. I was pretty nervous about going to St Lucia during the rainy season, but we couldn’t have asked for better weather all week. Our wedding package included a beach BBQ/bonfire welcome party and sunset catamaran cruise that the whole group really enjoyed. Alexx and I also received a half-day Soufriere tour that took us to the sulphur springs, mud baths, waterfalls, and botanical gardens. We had our own driver who gave us a private tour of the island and snapped lots of pictures for us. Several members of our group went on other excursions and all raved about what a great time they had- deep sea fishing, zip lining, snorkeling. Even during COVID, there were so many opportunities to safely enjoy other parts of the island.

Thank you to the entire VIP team for everything that you did over the last year and a half to make our destination wedding a reality, even throughout a crazy pandemic. We had a great experience working with VIP pre-Covid and admittedly hit a bit of a rough patch when it came time to postpone our trip back in March. Looking back, I think a quick Zoom or phone call would have helped both sides clear up any questions and hesitations better than in an email as they don’t always convey the messages we intend. Through all of the immense stress and uncertainty at the beginning of the pandemic, VIP stuck by our side and we were more than happy to stick by yours. You made our lives much easier by handling all of the changes with the resort and airline and we can’t thank you enough for taking that weight off our shoulders. Ryan was a pleasure to work with- no matter how odd my questions were, he always responded in a timely manner with a positive message and kept us informed on new bookings. We have some difficult members in our group so I’m sure we weren’t an easy group to deal with! I also heard from several guests how helpful and polite Justin was in answering their questions. It was very reassuring for us to hear all of the positive feedback from our group about VIP, and it proved that we made the right decision in trusting VIP with our trip.
