Wedding & Honeymoon at Sandals Grande Antigua

Our trip to Sandals Grande Antigua was amazing. We did get an upgrade to the honeymoon orchid grande poolside walkout.
Even though the Mediterranean side is newer, we were so happy to stay on the Caribbean side. The Caribbean side had more restaurants and entertainment plus we loved the atmosphere. We met so many people who stayed on in the big Mediterranean complex and all we heard were complaints.
The wedding went perfectly. The wedding staff was extremely helpful and very attentive to us. The pictures turned out so good. And FYI about the video. They do a full edit with music, pictures and video. We were very surprised because we thought we would just get a standard video but their production quality was fantastic.
We only did two excursions, the shopping trip into town and the zip line. Thanks for the info on that. Ebony from the resort tried to scare us into signing up for a bunch of stuff but it wasn’t necessary. We found that zip line and the dinner on the beach book up very fast and people should pre-register for those.
The only disappointment was the arrival at the tiny airport. It took forever. Also, arriving at the resort for newbies like us we had no idea what was going on or who we were waiting for cause they didn’t tell us anything. Departure was much better and they took charge more with that.
With all that being said, we can’t wait to go back to Sandals for our 1 year anniversary. We wouldn’t mind goingback to Antigua but are also looking at the one in the Bahamas and the one in St. Lucia. Do you have any recommendations on either of those for us?

BTW, the wedding office and SnapShots photo office had your wedding book displayed. The wedding office had a big book and a parent book, while SnapShots had your big wedding book. It was wild seeing our travel agents pictures allover the place, ha ha.
